The Long Term Parking Garage No. 2 project will add a new six-story, 1.1-million-square-foot parking structure with approximately 3,600 parking spaces and 5,000 square feet for amenities. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is looking to build a technologically innovative facility that will have an Automated Parking Guidance System, infrastructure for 20% electric vehicle charging, and dynamic signage. This garage will be a certified green Parksmart garage, and will achieve net-zero energy consumption via the use of photovoltaic panels, potentially non-potable water in the concrete mix, and other sustainability features. In keeping with SFO’s overarching objectives for revenue enhancement and customer hospitality, this facility may also include amenity spaces for baggage drop off, dry cleaning, valet parking, car wash, and kennel services.
Services Provided: The Allen Group is providing a full range of construction management services throughout the life of the project, including: stakeholder engagement process coordination; programming management; constructability reviews; structural peer reviews; sustainability oversight; scheduling and cost control; contract packaging; quality control/quality assurance; design oversight; monitoring construction progress and schedules; evaluating progress payments; change order management; preparation of daily reports; monitoring safety programs; and coordination of project activation and closeout.
